Focus on training and professional development
From November 19 to 21, the appointment with MIBA (Milan International Building Alliance) and Smart Building Expo will return — the major Milanese trade fair event dedicated to technological innovation in construction and building systems.
A high-profile European event, it serves as a benchmark for the application of the EPBD4 directive and for the green and digital transition of the building stock — one of the most economically promising and future-oriented sectors of the coming years.
The MIBA area dedicated to BACS technologies, the ongoing electrification process, and the new generation of systems focused on energy savings and the use of renewable energy sources will once again be Smart Building Expo. It will offer thousands of attending professionals a rich program of educational and informative events, along with stimulating networking opportunities with key players and leading industry experts.
There will be four “innovation hubs” animating the exhibition area, continuously hosting in-depth discussions and talks on topics ranging from building technology architecture to system integration, with particular attention to energy-related themes.
In addition to the “hubs”, several special high-innovation events will take place, including a deep dive and reflection on the national implementation of EPBD4 (the European Directive on green buildings), ideally connected to the focus on the ongoing electrification process, organized in collaboration with Prosiel and ANIE; the event From Building to City, dedicated to the integration between buildings and urban areas in a grid perspective. Also of great significance is the event on Data Center Sustainability, organized in collaboration with the engineering firm DEERNS, as well as a session focused on the relationship between Technological Innovation and Real Estate.
As part of SBE, the second National Smart Installer Meeting will also be held — a top-level technical network offering high-quality services and certified skills of its members. This event will also host the launch of the European LIFE-SKEMA project, dedicated to reskilling technical personnel involved in the energy transition process.
This activity will complement those organized by the other three main pillars of MIBA — Made Expo, Sicurezza, and GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition — creating a unique event in Italy and one of the most important in Europe, which in 2023 featured over 1,300 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors from more than 100 countries.
