The goal of the workshop is to highlight the role of the Real Estate sector in the decarbonization of the building stock, both in terms of decisions regarding new constructions and in the strategically crucial area of retrofitting existing buildings.
It is clear that the involvement of major investors — both private and institutional — will be essential to support the transition set out by the European Commission through the launch of EPBD4.

It will also be interesting to observe how the growing focus on green issues by real estate investment funds is shaping the market, and what impact this may have on property value fluctuations.
Finally, the workshop will explore the emerging skills demand in the Real Estate sector, assessing whether the current market is equipped to meet this demand or if there is an urgent need to introduce appropriate training programs to develop them.
