Terabee specializes in advanced people counting sensors and infrastructure for smart buildings. The mission is to support the transition towards “ZERO emission buildings” by creating insights on how people use and move within buildings. Understanding people flows enables significant cost savings by optimizing energy, staff and space utilization. “We are now sure that people counting data significantly improves energy efficiency and space utilization in non-residential buildings”, says founder Massimiliano (Max) Ruffo.

Terabee offers high-accuracy (>98%), privacy-by-design GDPR-compliant 3D ToF and thermal imaging sensors, as easy-to-install solutions for offices, banks and universities. Terabee’s People Flow and Occupancy Counting devices integrate easily with existing Building Management Systems (BMS) thanks to a Bacnet gateway, leveraging Ethernet, WiFi, and LoRa communications while addressing energy consumption, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

At the Smart Building Expo 2025, Terabee will showcase its people counting devices and infrastructure offering, with the goal to expand partnerships in Italy.
