A promise delivered: Smart Building Expo emerges as the leading event for Italy’s smartest and most forward-thinking community.
We announced it more than a year ago to the key industrial players in the home and building automation sector, and we kept our promise: Smart Building Expo 2025, which has just concluded, was the extraordinary, internationally oriented experience that the entire industry had been waiting for—finally marking a clear step forward compared to the recent past and establishing itself as the reference stage for the whole supply chain.
An extraordinary turnout of visitors—and, above all, an enthusiastic and at times even joyful participation—defined three days of work that we will not easily forget.
Smart Building Expo, exactly as we intended, was a major collective event, where companies played their fundamental role: believing in the project, investing in it, and returning home with an agenda full of important, high-quality contacts. But equally fundamental was the contribution of the many professional and industry associations, which literally filled the three days in Milan with high-level content, transforming it into a platform for professional development as well as for aligning national strategies of undeniable value. In this sense, Smart Building Expo successfully interpreted a crucial shift in the exhibition sector: from a traditional place for marketing to a setting for 360-degree networking with a variety of stakeholders, yielding far more significant strategic returns.
A word of thanks also goes to the dozens upon dozens of speakers who took the stage for training and in-depth sessions, who made themselves available to engage with a curious and enthusiastic audience—many of whom were young professionals and students. This is a clear sign that the sector is fully geared toward the future, well aware of the challenges ahead, and eager to turn them—without unnecessary fear—into opportunities for the country’s development.
All of this allows me to say, without fear of sounding self-congratulatory, that the enormous amount of work behind an event like this not only produced the results we hoped for, but went well beyond them. It shows that we have finally provided a convincing answer to a need we had identified and that had been lingering in the air for some time: giving a “home” to Italy’s smartest community and properly interpreting its aspirations and needs.
So a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this small miracle possible—and first and foremost to my extraordinary colleagues.
We never rest on our laurels, and we are already on our way to Bari 2026, where on November 18–19 we aim to involve the entire professional world of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean region. There, for the first time, we will be joined by our colleagues from MIBA, to create yet another major showcase of innovation, bringing together all the crucial themes of the building sector’s “twin transition.”
And for our next meeting in Milan, mark these dates in your diary right away: November 17–19, 2027. By now, it’s clear to everyone—no other commitments allowed!
