Smartotum Setup: the home automation configurator every installer has been waiting for

A problem, an idea, the solution.
Configuring a home automation system can be very complex and time-consuming, causing various inconveniences for professionals in the field.
That’s why Smartotum, in addition to offering users an integrated home automation system that is fault-tolerant and privacy-safe, has decided to create a tool that simplifies and speeds up system installation starting from its design and configuration.

“Thanks to continuous collaboration with designers and installers, and through interviews with them, we identified the most common issues in the various phases and gathered requests and wishes from those who actually work in the field,” say the founders of the startup.

Specifically, the tool allows you to:

  1. Start designing even before the construction site exists: you can create the “house,” define rooms and devices, and set up logical connections.
For example, the living-room actuator controls the chandelier and the entrance button.
All this can be done comfortably from the office.

  2. Link the real component to the project simply by scanning a QR code. Smartotum devices arrive at the construction site with minimal pre-configuration. Before installing the device, the installer opens the app, selects the room, and scans the code. The real component is thus associated without power supply or complicated procedures.

  3. Carry out all these operations completely independently, reducing time and potential errors.

Smartotum Setup is available both as a web tool for PC use and as an Android and iOS app for tablets and smartphones.

You can try it yourself by visiting their booth at Smart Building Expo, November 19–21: Smartotum | Hall 6P | K38.
