Smart Hospitality: Building Automation for connected and sustainable hotels

Thursday 20 November 2025
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sala Leonardo

The world of hotels and hospitality facilities in general represents one of the most interesting sectors for companies operating in home and building automation, energy efficiency and audio-video experience.
For hotel renovations in Lombardy, there are regional calls and ministerial funds that may be of great interest. In particular, the Lombardy Region has recently allocated funds to support the competitiveness of hospitality facilities, both hotels and non-hotel structures. These funds can cover both the redevelopment of existing buildings and the creation of new ones. Moreover, specific incentives linked to the PNRR are available for improving hospitality infrastructures, with a focus on environmental sustainability and raising quality standards. In a context where energy efficiency, personalised comfort and safety are central competitive assets for the hospitality industry, building automation is establishing itself as an enabling technology for a new management paradigm: connected, predictive and sustainable.

The workshop, organized by Smart Building Expo in collaboration with BIT, brings together experts, technology providers and hotel operators to explore application scenarios, ROI metrics and management models based on data and automation. An opportunity to understand how the integration of smart systems, lighting, access control and environmental sensors is redefining hospitality standards and predictive maintenance.
