Instead, energy per person offers a more accurate, actionable standard.<\/p>\n<p>This new metric is made possible by people counting technologies, which are evolving beyond space optimization to play a central role in intelligent energy management. By integrating people counting systems with Building Management Systems (BMS) via protocols like BACnet, HVAC and lighting can adapt in real time to actual occupancy levels, significantly reducing waste.<\/p>\n<p>Measuring energy <strong>per person<\/strong> aligns building performance with actual human activity.
